Soil
The vineyards are planted on shale and stoney alluvium on the Roussillon plain and some of the surrounding foothills in the south of France.
Grape varieties
35% Carignan, 25% Grenache noir, 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre
Production method
The Mourvèdre and part of the syrah and the grenache noir are destalked and crushed. Traditional maceration for part the of the syrah and grenache noir and Carbonic maceration for the Carignan.
Ageing
This wine is bottled very young so that it develops the best possible aromas.
Description
The colour is a deep garnet red with bright purple tints.The nose is intensely with black cherries, raspberries and liquorish.The balance is full with fruits, silky tanins and the fat increases the sensation of volume.The end is lasting and reminiscent of the fruits
Storing
To enjoy its aromas, this wine should be served young.
Serving suggestion
Served with barbecued meat, salads and matured cheese.
Serving temperature
Serve between 16 and 18°C.
