Banyuls "Graphique"

Soil

The vineyards of Banyuls are located between Port Vendres, Collioure, Banyuls/Mer and Cerbère where the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean sea meet each other before the Spanish border. The vines grow on narrow terraces of schist and enjoy the warm and sunny Mediterranean weather with the fresh sea influence.

100% Grenache noi

Production method

After destemming and crushing there is a skin maceration with pumping over and releasing for 14 days. The fortification is made with pure and neutral alcohol directly on the grapes.

Ageing

The wine is aged for four years in oak barrels to reach a maderization which is typical of these wines of this area.

Description

Colour: Garnet red colour with brick red tints Nose: Straight flavours of whole nut, black pepper, spices and dry fruits. Mouth: Rich attack on the palate with silky tannins and taste of prunes and chocolate.

Serving temperature

Serve at between 11°C and 13°C
