Soil
Between the sea and the mountains, the Collioure appellation stands on narrow terraces atop brown schist soil. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and rare but torrential rainfall. The closeness of the sea and the schists gives Collioure wines a particular character: distinguished and elegant.
Grape varieties
10% Mourvèdre, 5% Carignan, 20% Syrah, 65% Grenache noir.
Production method
Direct pressing. Controlled temperatures. Regular remontages.
Ageing
In vats.
Description
Pretty deep pink with raspberry tints. A fine and delicate bouquet with tangy summer berry notes like blackcurrant, cherry and strawberry. Full on the palate, fresh with pomegranate aromas. Very appealing length on the palate. The finish has a mineral edge.
Serving suggestion
Ideal as an aperitif, this exceptional rosé is also an ideal companion for paellas, grilled fish, Mediterranean salads and Oriental cuisine.
