Excellent as an aperitif, Fruité Catalan pairs wonderfully with a platter of seafood, king prawn kebabs or fish baked in foil. It also works with seasonal fruit carpaccio or fresh fruit salad.
Soil
Plot selection on chalk and clay soils from Roussillon. Each plot follows a strict procedure concerning pruning, maximum leaf surface, maximum yield and the perfect sanitary state until harvest.
Grape varieties
65 % Muscat Petits Grains, 20 % Muscat d’Alexandrie, 5 % Macabeu, 10 % Grenache blanc.
Production method
The musts follow a strict cold settling and are fermented at low temperature with selected yeasts allowing the maximum of fruit aromas. The wine is then aged on the lees.
Description
The colour is a bright pale yellow with silvery and green tints. The nose is intensely and surprisingly fruity with notes of apricots, blackcurrant flowers, litchis and citrus blossom. The attack on the palate is straight with a nice, fresh acidity balanced with a roundness of the wine. The end is long and fruity with apricots, lemons and exotic fruit.
Serving suggestion
To be served chilled at 11°C and enjoyed at any time or served with grilled fish, seafood or goats cheese.
