A.O.P Côtes du Roussillon Rosé
the wine displays a brilliant, soft pink hue with silvery tints.
The nose is intense and invigorating and offers up scents of strawberry, grenadine, blood orange and boiled sweet.
Domaine la Soulane is located on a mountain plateau between Tarérach, Rodès and Vinça in Roussillon. The estate’s vineyards thrive on south-facing hillside sites where the quartz and granite sand soils bask in extensive sunshine. The cool weather in this mountain setting imparts balance and elegance to all the wines in the Domaine la Soulane range.
The grapes are harvested at dawn to preserve freshness. The fruit is crushed then delicately pressed in an oxygen-free environment. The must subsequently undergoes very fine settling and is then fermented at low temperatures.
In full tanks for a few months. The wine is bottled young so that it fully retains aroma.
The wine displays a brilliant, soft pink hue with silvery tints. The nose is intense and invigorating and offers up scents of strawberry, grenadine, blood orange and boiled sweet. Ample and smooth on the attack, the palate is rich and aromatic and reveals beautiful mineral and zippy red fruit notes. Fruity and slightly tangy with good length and a pleasurable finish.
Drink within the first two years for full enjoyment.
Ideal as an aperitif paired with tapas, this rosé makes the ideal companion for Basque-style chicken, seafood risotto, grilled sardines, a platter of shellfish, sushi, escalivada and a selection of cold cuts.
