Rasiguères’ vineyards stretch over rolling hills in the Agly valley, between Caramany and Latour.
Set between the two great growths Caramany and Latour de France, the vineyards of Rasiguères stretch over the rolling hillsides of the Agly valley. Wine growers selected vines grown on granite sand for this wine. These deep soils are better protected from the heat and impart lovely freshness to the wines.
50% Grenache noir, 50% Syrah.
The grapes are picked by hand in the morning to retain freshness. The destemmed and crushed crop macerates for 6 to 12 hours. After pressing, the free-run juice selected for this wine is cold settled. Fermentation occurs at low temperatures with the suitable yeast.
On fine lees in tanks for 3 to 6 months
The rose wood tinge is enhanced by fuchsia highlights. Explosive aromas on the nose include forest fruits and violet. Beautifully full attack bolstered by lovely volume and fruit notes. Long finish with a tangy touch.
Drink within the first 18 months
This gourmet style rosé can be enjoyed very well chilled as an aperitif but also pairs extremely well with grilled white meats and fish as well as vegetable gratins and pan-fried Mediterranean vegetables. The perfect partner for couscous or paella, it also works very well with Thai or Chinese cuisine.
Between 10°C and 12°C.
Ultimate pairing choice: Stuffed squid à l’Armoricaine.
